The nursing alums achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

“Congratulations!” said Dr. Barbara Johnson, Belhaven's Dean of the School of Nursing. “We are extremely proud of our graduates in achieving this recognition. I also applaud our nursing faculty for their innovation and creative teaching methods which have facilitated the success of our students.”

This hallmark accomplishment allows these graduates to competently practice as registered nurses and utilize the credential of Registered Nurse. The passing rate is the product of all writings of the exam during the calendar year of graduation.

“We are so proud of our students achieving a 100% nursing license pass rate,” said Belhaven University Provost Dr. Bradford Smith. “We're grateful for our strong faculty and their dedication in helping our students thrive as they launch into professional careers. The licensure exam can be a daunting hurdle, but our faculty start preparing our students early and walk with them through the preparation process every step of the way. It's great to see that the faculty and student process of mentoring pays-off with this amazing pass rate.”

All of the May 2019 graduates are gainfully employed in various nursing specialty areas in the Jackson area and across the country.
