February 13, 2019 (Jackson, Miss.) - Students from Belhaven's Dance Department will present an evening of scholarship, lecture demonstrations, and creative process discussions on topics from the field of dance and beyond, February 20-22. Belhaven's Senior Dance Research Presentations are free and will be held in the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Art Gallery at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and 3 p.m. on Friday.
Jonathan Bostelman, Erin Campagna, Suzanna Capron, Kinsey Folkers, Andie Knudson, Lydia Mathis, Tori Turnbow, and Kailey Watson will each present a performance that showcases their journey as dance artists, writers, performers, and choreographers.
Each senior has a theme for their project that is creatively unique to the individual dancer, and will consist of classical ballet, modern and contemporary dance styles.
