November 16, 2020 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven's Fall Chorale Concert is November 23 and will showcase music from Belhaven's Worship Choir and Chorale.
This free concert from the Belhaven Music Department will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall. From liturgical to contemporary anthems, the evening will highlight Psalms from the 18th century to present.
“The concert is a joint venture by the Belhaven Chorale and the newly-established Worship Choir,” said Dr. Andrew Sauerwien. “The musicians are bravely facing the challenges of masks, social distancing on stage, and quarantined performers to bring you a range of inspiring pieces. In a year that has seen so much uncertainty and change, we can rest assured on the confidence of God's Words. This concert will seek to encourage the listener with sung text from the Psalms and other biblical promises. If you are feeling discouraged or beaten down, this concert promises to be uplifting and encouraging. Please join us as we sing unto the Lord!”
The performance will livestream on the Belhaven Music Department's Facebook page. Belhaven students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend in person; and the families of student performers can arrange to attend by emailing the Music Department in advance at music@belhaven.edu.
