March 18, 2022 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven's finest classical musicians will take the stage for a masterful orchestra and strings concert March 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts, Concert Hall.
Faculty and students from Belhaven's String Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra will showcase beautiful string solos and chamber groups at this free concert.
Belhaven musicians will perform a variety of the great symphonic orchestra works that include "Die Fledermaus overture" by Johann (Jr.) Strauss,"Salut d' Amour" by Edward Elgar, and"Light Cavalry Overture" by Franz von Suppe.
The concert will also feature string solo and chambergroups who will perform“Poeme” by Chausson, “Serenade” by Beethoven, and “AmericanString Quartet”by Dvorak.
