April 5, 2022 (Jackson, Miss.) - Students from Belhaven University's School of the Arts have produced a special concert that will feature collaborative works from the dance, music, theatre, art and design, and film departments.
The 2022 Collaborative Arts Concert is on Tuesday, April 12, 7 p.m. in the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Studio.
Belhaven's Music Department Chair Dr. Andrew Sauerwein said, This event springs from a widespread interest in exploring ways of collaborating, discovering effective approaches, and experiencing the resulting artworks.
Krista Bower, Belhaven Dance Department Chair, added, We hope it will invite and encourage more aesthetic collaborations in which students and faculty in the various fine-arts disciplines explore and develop new works and new ways of working together.
This event is free and open to the public.
