Belhaven University to Host New Student Orientation in June

May 7, 2025 (Jackson, Miss.) – Belhaven University will welcome its incoming freshman class during New Student Orientation, set for June 12-13. The two-day event is designed to equip new students with the tools and resources they need for a successful first year.

Throughout orientation, freshmen will have the opportunity to meet classmates, connect with key faculty and staff, register for fall classes, purchase textbooks, obtain student ID cards, and finalize their enrollment plans for August.

“We want our students to feel confident and prepared as they begin this exciting new chapter,” said Bailey Ketteringham, director of admission at Belhaven University. “New Student Orientation is the perfect time to build relationships, get questions answered, and make sure everything is in place for a smooth transition to college life.”

The university encourages all admitted freshmen and their parents to attend. A variety of informative programs will also be offered specifically for parents.

To participate, students should register online and include their intended major to ensure they are paired with an academic advisor aligned with their chosen degree path.
