Belhaven Choral Arts to Present Special Concert, Anaphora

JACKSON, Miss. (October 29, 2025)- The Belhaven Choral Arts will present an enlightening interpretation of “Anaphora: A Lifting Up of Praise and Thanksgiving” in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall on November 3 at 7 p.m.

The Greek word “anaphora” signifies the “carrying up” of offerings to God, particularly in the context of worship.

Directed by Chair of the Music Department and Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Rebecca Geihsler-Chittom, this concert offers attendees the opportunity to lift their hearts, prayers, and praise in worship as the artists lift their voices in sacred choral music.

Dr. Geihsler promises a captivating evening guided by the spirit of giving and worshipping, presenting faith in the form of music and movement.

This is just one of the many exciting events from Belhaven University’s School of Arts. Check out Arts Ablaze for plays, dance and music concerts, poetry readings, gallery exhibits and more happening this year.
