Fall Dance Concert to Feature Faculty, Guest Artists, and MFA Thesis Work

JACKSON, Miss. — Belhaven University’s acclaimed Dance Department will present its Fall Dance Concert, a captivating showcase of choreography by Belhaven faculty and guest artists. The performances will feature an array of classical, contemporary ballet, and modern dance and take place November 6-8 at 7 p.m. in the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Studio Theatre.

Presented by the Belhaven University Dance Ensemble and members of DOXA, the concert features an excerpt from “La Bayadère” directed by Professor Ravenna Wagnon, alongside new works by choreographers Ryan Corriston, Erin Rockwell, Cynthia Newland, and Kevin Jenkins. The program highlights the breadth of talent and creativity within Belhaven’s Dance Department and its network of distinguished guest artists.

The concert also includes an MFA Thesis Project choreographed by graduate student Elle Ciccarone, offering audiences a glimpse into the innovative research and artistry emerging from Belhaven’s Master of Fine Arts in Dance program.
