Belhaven’s Art and Design Department to Host Senior Exhibition

JACKSON, Miss. (January 12. 2026) - Belhaven University will showcase the works of graduating Art and Design seniors Allison Franklin and Emioluwa Akinyokunbo in a Senior Art and Design Exhibition. The exhibit highlights the culmination of their academic and creative development within Belhaven’s Art and Design Department.

On display January 17 through February 7, the exhibition represents both artistic achievement and a significant step toward professional practice. Senior exhibitions provide students with hands-on experience in presenting, curating and installing their work while articulating their individual artistic voices.

The opening reception will be held January 17 from 2-4 p.m., with a gallery talk scheduled for January 26 from 4-5 p.m. Events will take place at the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Art Gallery.
