Theatre Department to Present One-Act Double Feature

JACKSON, Miss. (March 11, 2026) — The Belhaven University Department of Theatre will present A Double Billing of One-Act Plays: Bags & Relative Strangers March 25–28 in the Barber Theatre.

The production features two one-act plays, Bags by Annie V. McGravie and Relative Strangers by Sheri Wilner. Students Ana Brock and Isabel Faulkner will make their mainstage directorial debuts with the respective productions.

Both plays explore the connections that can be forged in unlikely places between women who might not initially believe they have much in common. Through humor, honesty, and heartfelt storytelling, the performances examine the shared experiences and surprising bonds that emerge across differences.

Performance dates and times are as follows:

Wednesday, March 25, at 7 p.m.
Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m.
Friday, March 27, at 7 p.m.
Saturday, March 28, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

All performances will take place in the Barber Theatre on the Belhaven campus.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, children, and Belhaven alumni. Admission is complimentary for Belhaven students, faculty, and staff. Tickets will also be available at the door, subject to availability. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
