Student Performers Celebrate Musical Theatre During Night of Broadway

JACKSON, Miss. (April 1, 2026) - Students from across campus will showcase their vocal, dance, and acting talents during the annual “Night of Broadway” concert celebration April 17 and 18. The performances take place in the Blackbox Theatre and offer a diverse repertoire of selections from both classic and contemporary musicals.

Assistant Professor of Theatre Jeff Allen Young and Assistant Professor of Music Chrissy Hrivnak are directing the production, and Megan Rowan will serve as the collaborative pianist. The high-energy showcase provides a platform for student artists to interpret iconic Broadway moments for a local audience.

Performance times include evening shows Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, at 7 p.m. with a matinee performance at 2 p.m.

Admission is complimentary. The theatre does not accept advanced reservations. Organizers seat guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees must be physically present to claim a seat. The seating list opens one hour before each performance.
