Belhaven University Appoints Dr. Jerold Meadows as Assistant Professor and Director of Graduate Programs in School of Business

JACKSON, Miss. (August 3, 2026) — Belhaven University has appointed Dr. Jerold Meadows as assistant professor and director of graduate programs in its School of Business, where he will provide leadership for the university's graduate business programs while preparing students to become principled, effective leaders.

Dr. Meadows brings decades of experience in higher education administration, financial leadership, and business consulting to Belhaven. In his new role, he will oversee graduate business programs and serve as program manager for the Master of Organizational Leadership program while teaching courses across the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) curricula. His teaching responsibilities include leadership, organizational change, organizational behavior, strategic planning, business principles, and team management.

Drawing on a career that spans executive leadership and professional practice, Dr. Meadows is passionate about developing practitioner-scholars who understand both the technical and human dimensions of organizational leadership.

Prior to joining Belhaven, Dr. Meadows spent more than 20 years serving as a chief financial officer in higher education. He also owned and operated a public accounting and consulting practice, providing expertise in accounting, tax planning, business planning, and organizational consulting. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he has helped organizations strengthen financial performance while navigating strategic growth and organizational change.

His areas of expertise include leadership, organizational change, strategic planning, and small business development. Throughout his teaching, Dr. Meadows emphasizes the practical integration of a biblical worldview into business decision-making and leadership practice, equipping students to lead with integrity, ethical discernment, and servant leadership.

Dr. Meadows earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Capella University, a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi Christian University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Mississippi Christian University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Meadows and his wife, Pamela, have been married for more than 48 years. They are active members of First Baptist Church of Clinton, where he teaches Sunday School and plays guitar in the church orchestra.
