Belhaven University Homecoming & Family Weekend 2026 Set for October 23–25

JACKSON, Miss. (August 25, 2026) — Belhaven University will welcome alumni, students, parents, families, and friends to campus October 23–25 for Homecoming & Family Weekend 2026, a three-day celebration of the relationships, traditions, and experiences that connect generations of the Belhaven community.

This year’s weekend will feature alumni celebrations, campus traditions, Blazer athletics, class reunions, and opportunities for families to experience life at Belhaven. Highlights include the Alumni Awards Banquet, 50-Year Club gathering, alumni campus tour, tailgating, Homecoming football, volleyball and women’s soccer, and a Sunday worship service.

Homecoming & Family Weekend begins Friday, October 23, with Discover Day at 8:30 a.m. in the Dr. Billy Kim International Center. Designed for high school juniors and seniors, Discover Day gives prospective students an inside look at Belhaven through conversations with current students, classroom and residence hall visits, information about financial aid, and an opportunity to hear from University leadership.

Friday evening, Belhaven will recognize outstanding graduates and members of the University’s athletic community during the Alumni Awards Banquet at 5:30 p.m. in the Dr. Billy Kim International Center. The event will honor this year’s distinguished Alumni Award recipients as well as the newest inductees into the Belhaven University Sports Hall of Fame. Dinner will be served, and advance tickets are required.

Saturday, October 24, begins with an Alumni Tour of Campus at 9 a.m. Alumni will gather at the Welcome Desk in the McCravey-Triplett Student Center for a guided walking tour highlighting the Belhaven campus.

At 10 a.m., members of the Class of 1976 and earlier, along with their spouses, are invited to the 50-Year Club gathering in the Dr. Billy Kim International Center. The annual tradition gives longtime alumni an opportunity to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate their lasting connection to Belhaven over brunch.

Blazer athletics will be at the center of Saturday’s Homecoming festivities. Belhaven volleyball hosts Asbury University at 10 a.m. in Rugg Arena before the celebration moves to the Belhaven Bowl. The Alumni Tailgate begins at 11 a.m. on the north patio of the Stadium Operations and Media Center, with food trucks available and Blazer fans gathering ahead of kickoff.

Belhaven football takes on Southern Virginia University at noon in the Homecoming game at the Belhaven Bowl. Admission is free. The day of competition continues at 4 p.m. when Belhaven women’s soccer hosts Covenant College, also at the Belhaven Bowl.

Saturday evening, members of the Class of 1981 and surrounding classes will celebrate their reunion at the Dr. Billy Kim International Center. The gathering begins with hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m., providing classmates an opportunity to reconnect and share memories of their years at Belhaven.

Homecoming & Family Weekend concludes Sunday, October 25, with worship at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Jackson. Members of the Belhaven community are invited to attend either the 8:30 or 11 a.m. service.

Whether returning to campus for a reunion, visiting a current student, cheering on the Blazers, or reconnecting with longtime friends, Homecoming & Family Weekend offers the entire Belhaven community an opportunity to celebrate what makes the University special.

Advance registration is required for select events, including the Alumni Awards Banquet, 50-Year Club, and Class of 1981 Reunion. Hotel accommodations with special Belhaven rates are also available, with booking deadlines beginning September 23.
