Creative Student Films Centerpiece of Event
March 29, 2017 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven’s inaugural Film Production Showcase on April 8, 7 p.m. will give students a chance to present their original works to an audience for the first time. Short films, videos and other class assignments created by students will be featured during this event.
There is simply nothing like having the lights go down and sharing your work with a community, while hearing laughs, gasps and applause for something you have labored on for months at a time, said Rick Negron, chair and professor of Belhaven’s Film Production Department. Please come be a part of this experience as we launch a whole new art form at Belhaven University!
This showcase, happening in the Barber Auditorium, is free and open to the public. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and will feature some of the following projects:
Coffeeville by Michael Tobin, featuring Frannie Maas and Laina Faul.
Weekday at Belhaven by Michael Clement, featuring Mac Mitchell and James Kenyon.
Dodgeball by Jonathan Dolansky, featuring Kerry Jones.
Bird by Katie Jeffery, featuring Elise Ethridge.
Lunch by Will Bristow, featuring Noelle Balzer, C.J. Riggs, Brandon Randle, and Grady Parrott.
Me by Rick Negron, featuring Lydia Brandt.
