I chose to attend Belhaven because of the campus, and the fact that the school would work with me to help me graduate with the double major I am currently pursuing. When I toured campus, for both the first time and for Arts Discover Day, I noticed so many beautiful things about the area and the people that were here. The vibe was really friendly, and the classes I was able to take in the Dance and Theatre Departments allowed me to meet some professors and see how they work, which was a really reassuring part of my audition processes.
What do you like most about Belhaven?
The thing I like most about Belhaven is the community. There is always something to do or somebody to talk to, and it is really easy to find ‘your people’. From students to professors there is no lack of love and support, so no matter what you’re facing (good or bad) there are always several people looking out for you.
What do you like most about your major?
I really like the performance opportunities, as well as the chances we have in classes and outside requirements to grow in our fields. There is always something to do, whether it’s rehearsal or production related, and all the professors work to make that kind of exploration and experience possible and, honestly, fun.
