October 7, 2020 (Jackson, Miss.) - The Belhaven University Dance Department will host Dance Discover Day 2020 on Friday, November 13. Dance auditions will be held the next day, November 14, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
“Dance Discover Day provides prospective students with opportunities to tour our state-of-the-art facilities, observe a dance class, and attend the Fall Dance Concert,” said Krista Bower, chair of Belhaven's Dance Department. “Our prestigious dance program prepares students technically, artistically, academically, and spiritually for their careers and God's unique calling on their lives. We invite you to come visit our unique, Christ-centered program as you consider the next steps of your journey as a dance artist and scholar!”
During the Dance Discover Day, students will have the option to observe or participate in dance classes with current students, meet with faculty, tour the campus, and attend a dance department meeting, featuring an informal choreography showcase. Visiting families will also meet with admissions and financial aid representatives to learn about the application and admissions process.
Dance Discover Day is an in-person event, but can only accommodate a limited number of students and is first come, first serve. Register for Dance Discover Day, and call the admission office at 800-960-5940 for more information.
In order to register for auditions, participants must review the audition requirements and then complete the Audition Registration Form to reserve an audition time. The Audition Registration Form is due two weeks prior to each audition date.
