Students bring their whole selves to Belhaven’s School of Nursing, and our faculty demonstrate Christ-like love through mentoring them to learn and care for the mind, body, and spirit.”
Dr. David Hand, dean of the School of Education, emphasized the expertise of his faculty. “All of our professors hold doctorate degrees, either Ed.D. or Ph.D., and bring significant K-12 classroom experience to their roles,” Hand said. “A large number of our faculty members are also National Board Certified and maintain their teacher-educator certifications. Our mission is to develop academically excellent teacher-educators who not only model best practices in instruction but also demonstrate compassion and a deep commitment to every learner.”
