Belhaven University Named to 2026 Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll for Eighth Consecutive Year
JACKSON, Miss. (August 20, 2026) — Belhaven University has been named to the 2026 Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll, marking its eighth consecutive year of recognition for exceptional support of transfer students.
Belhaven is one of 275 colleges and universities nationwide named to the 2026 Transfer Honor Roll, which recognizes institutions that provide strong pathways and support for community college transfer students.
“This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to welcoming and equipping transfer students for success,” said Suzanne Sullivan, Belhaven’s Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing. “From the moment they inquire about Belhaven, we walk alongside them with personalized support, ensuring a smooth and empowering transition.”
The Transfer Honor Roll evaluates institutions across five dimensions that Phi Theta Kappa identifies as important to community college transfer student success: transfer student success rates; campus friendliness and sense of belonging; availability of need- and merit-based financial aid; acceptance of transfer credits toward a four-year degree; and the recruitment experience and campus life for transfer students. More than 40 indicators are used to assess how institutions support students throughout the transfer journey.
“Transfer students are an integral part of the Belhaven community,” Sullivan added. “We offer dedicated transfer counseling and scholarships, including special awards for PTK members, because we believe in rewarding their hard work and helping them reach their goals.”
Belhaven provides transfer students with individualized guidance throughout the admissions and enrollment process, along with resources designed to help students maximize previously earned college credit and successfully continue their path toward a bachelor’s degree.
Phi Theta Kappa is the foremost honor society for students at associate degree-granting colleges, with more than 3.5 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 10 countries.
