Belhaven University to Host Fall Arts Discover Day on November 6
JACKSON, Miss. (September 28, 2026) — Belhaven University’s School of the Arts will welcome prospective students and their families to Fall Arts Discover Day on Friday, November 6, 2026. The event offers aspiring artists an opportunity to explore Belhaven’s nationally recognized arts programs while experiencing campus life firsthand.
Arts Discover Day is designed for high school students interested in majoring or minoring in an arts discipline. Throughout the day, prospective students will meet Belhaven faculty and current students, participate in workshops and classes, tour campus, and attend performances with complimentary admission.
Program-specific schedules will allow students to explore their chosen areas of study in greater depth. Depending on the discipline, participants may also complete auditions or receive portfolio reviews while gaining valuable feedback from faculty members.
Parents are encouraged to attend and may participate in sessions created specifically to answer questions about admission, financial aid, campus life, and the college decision process. Lunch will be provided at no cost to students and their parents.
Belhaven is one of only 39 universities in the United States accredited in all four major areas of the arts: visual art, dance, music, and theatre. Students study in a collaborative Christian environment that emphasizes creativity, discipline, professional preparation, and personal and spiritual growth.
Students who attend Arts Discover Day may receive an additional $1,000 scholarship applied to their first-year financial aid package.
