Fairs & Bootcamps

Each Fall before Spring pre-registration, we will hold the Major’s Fair for all BU 101: Belhaven Basics students and other under-classmen who are searching to add a minor and/or change their major.

Majors Fair

• Date: October 5, 2023
• Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Where: Outside in front of the Student Center

Minors can be an excellent addition to academics to strengthen and round a resumé, so BU 102: Transfer Success students can also benefit greatly.

This is a great time to meet upper-classmen and professors in each department; learn about “What Can I Do for a Career?” with each major; and learn about new and exciting electives and minors.

Belhaven Career Bootcamp: Health and Science

Date: November 3, 2022

Time: Will vary depending on participant schedule

• Check-in 8:30 a.m.(Students pick up their event package)
• Mock Interviews 9:00 a.m. – Noon (depending on student schedule)
• Round Table Luncheon with Employers 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Where: Billy Kim International Center

Who: This event is for traditional students who wish to work in the healthcare and STEM fields. Juniors and Seniors will be given registration preference.

Important Deadlines

• Resumé Draft Upload Deadline: October 20th (11:55 p.m.)
• FINAL Registration Deadline: October 27th by 11:55 p.m. (no exceptions). Approved résumé must be uploaded and made public.

Career & Internship Fair

Each Spring semester, employers and universities come to campus to share about opportunities including entry-level employment, summer jobs/camps, internships, mid-level career change, and graduate & professional school programs. A college career fair is a great place to network with possible future employers. It is also a good place to practice sharing about yourself in a professional setting.
