We’re pleased to offer customized financial aid packages to all Belhaven students. Dance students are eligible for special scholarships dependent on financial need, academic achievements, and talent.
Earn a Scholarship in Dance at Belhaven
First, we need to be introduced. As we get to know you, we will evaluate you for available scholarships. Dance admission is a competitive process and includes an audition along with a review of your academic strengths.
For more information on the application process, connect with an admission officer by calling 601-968-5940 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
A Premier Program
Dance is one of the premier programs at Belhaven University, an internationally recognized haven for the fine arts. Our institution is nationally accredited in all four of the major arts, including:
We’re one of only 34 institutions of higher learning in the U.S. to hold this honor, and we’re the only Christian university on the list.
We offer two bachelor’s degrees in dance — including a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts — along with a dance minor and the Master of Fine Arts degree. Our dance faculty members are experienced performers, choreographers, and educators committed to your success. Plus, our programs are offered in world class dance facilities that feature state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
How to Apply for a Dance Scholarship
Submit/report your high school GPA. You can also provide your ACT, SAT, and/or CLT test scores. Based on your interest in dance, we can offer you an academic scholarship that will represent the foundation of your dance scholarship should you be accepted to the program. Should you not be accepted to the dance program, your foundational academic award will remain in place for enrollment into the University.
Make plans to attend one of our dance auditions. Based on your dance performance during the audition and your completed dance application materials, we will determine your acceptance to the dance major. Further, an excellent audition can influence your final scholarship award package.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA will let us know what amount of federal assistance OR Belhaven need based assistance you would be eligible to receive.
No matter what you think your family might qualify for from the federal government, we STRONGLY encourage you to complete the FAFSA as Belhaven's grants are typically more generous than the government might indicate you could receive.
After we receive all your information (academic record, audition, and FAFSA), you will receive a comprehensive financial aid package that is influenced by all three of these areas.
Please contact the admission office at 1-800-960-5940 or email@example.com to learn more or to meet with an admission counselor.
