Double Major 5th Year Free Allows Me to Pursue Other Interests
"Belhaven places such a high emphasis and appreciation for the arts that is rare to find in other schools. The fifth-year free promise for double majors is an added perk that I knew I wanted to take advantage of and allows me to pursue other interests. Because of my degree from Belhaven I feel prepared to take on a career in the arts while focusing on my values."
— Mandi, Theatre Major from West Lafayette, Ind
Two Majors, One Mission
"As soon as I found Belhaven, I immediately fell in love with the school and its mission. However, the thing that particularly sold me on Belhaven was its Double Major promise. As a double major in Dance and Sports Medicine, I am able to pursue both my passions and do so through a Christ-centered lens. I have also loved the faculty within both departments and how they push me to do my best in all that I do."
— Riley, Sports Medicine and Dance Majors from GA

To meet the requirements for the 5th year free program, your 5th year must be verified by the Registrar’s Office and you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). - You must apply for the Double Major Promise option in BlazeNet as soon as you determine you want a double major or double degree, and before you submit a graduation application.
- You’ll also need to submit your application again just before starting your 9th term (for financial purposes).
- The registrar’s office will set up your degree plan in BlazeNet to allow you and both advisors to meet and plan out degree completion.
You will receive two diplomas for double degree only. Diplomas are issued on the degree earned; a double major under the same degree will receive the diploma for the one degree. On your resume, you would list both majors under the same degree.
