October 23, 2020 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven University has introduced four big promises to smooth out the bumps on the road to college admission. The Free Master's Promise, The Double Major Promise, The Visit Promise, and The Haven Promise are all special incentives that benefit students both financially and academically.
This year, the college search and recruiting experience are different as families take safety precautions during COVID-19. Travel is a challenge and Belhaven admission counselors have not been able to visit high schools and college fairs like they normally would.
“As students continue their college search, we realize that the road has not been as they might have expected,” said Associate Vice President for Enrollment Suzanne Sullivan. “We are making unparalleled promises for their benefit. To try and make things better, we have created four amazing promises unlike anywhere in the country for incoming students in the spring or fall of 2021. These promises affirm our commitment to the academic success of future Blazers.”
Promise #1 - The Free Master's Promise: Traditional-campus students who enroll in Spring or Fall 2021, remain continually enrolled until graduation, and complete at least 60 undergraduate hours at Belhaven, will be eligible to receive a full tuition for any online master's program.
Promise #2 - The Double Major Promise: Declare a double major and the 5th year of tuition is free. This offer is for first-time, full-time, Belhaven freshmen that remain continuously enrolled for 4 years.
Promise #3 - The Visit Promise: Belhaven University will add $1,000 to students first year scholarship package when they come for a personal visit or a virtual visit before April 1, 2021.
Promise #4 - The Haven Promise: This promise, for Mississippi residents, guarantees a minimum of $12,500 in scholarships and grants to high school graduates and transfers enrolling full-time.
Sullivan adds, “If you haven't already, come and see what makes Belhaven special from the others. Call us today at 601-968-5940 or schedule your campus visit or sign up for one of our Discover Days. We look forward to meeting you and your family on campus or online soon!”
