The School of Business

Welcome to the Belhaven University, formerly Belhaven College, School of Business! The School of Business has been recognized by Business Reform Magazine as one of the best Christian Business Schools in the country. It was recognized for its job placement, Biblically focused curriculum, and quality of faculty. Many faculty have terminal degrees from leading research institutions such as Duke University, Louisiana State University, University of Connecticut, University of North Carolina, and University of Minnesota, yet they also have "real world" experience in the private and public sector that make them exceptional teachers.

The School of Business offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of formats for traditional and nontraditional students. Two relatively new programs are the evening based accounting certificate program, and an Entrepreneurship concentration. All these programs offer the "value added" component of integrating the Christian world view into the marketplace. Internships and study abroad opportunities are highly encouraged. Recently, three Business majors traveled to China to work on a Business as Mission summer internship. The Sports Management Department also emphasizes internships. Past internships have included minor league baseball operations, the National Football League alumni Association, and sports mission trips overseas.
