Financial Aid Application Steps

Complete the Belhaven University Admission Application

Start building your customized financial aid package by applying to the university. Once we have your application, we can begin determining your specific needs and your eligibility for grants, scholarships, low-interest loans, and work-study programs.

Fill Out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The second step in your financial aid application process is completing the FAFSA. This form decides your eligibility for federal aid, including Pell Grants and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOGs). It’s also the first step in receiving low-interest federal loans, which are administered by the U.S. Department of Education. The FAFSA is required to receive specific state of Mississippi need-based aid.

To complete the FAFSA, you need your most recent tax return (or your family’s). Make sure to include Belhaven in the list of universities receiving your FAFSA results. Our institutional code is 002397.

As funds are limited, it’s important that you apply early. The application opens on Oct. 1 of each year Students must complete the FAFSA each year that they plan to be enrolled at Belhaven.
