Belhaven University provides multiple opportunities for traditional undergraduate students to serve their fellow students through leadership. Students who choose and are selected to lead are able to benefit personally and professionally, develop their interpersonal skills, and build meaningful friendships within the student development division. They will be mentored by professional staff and have opportunists to guide their peers throughout the academic year.
If you wish to learn more about serving in these roles or how they can benefit you please contact the office of Student Development: email@example.com | 601-968-5969. For most roles, an application process begins at the start of each Spring semester for the following academic year.
Belhaven Leadership Council (BLC)
The Belhaven Leadership Council is a group of student leaders that serve the student body through a variety of ways through programming and service. Positions on BLC include: President, Campus Engagement Coordinator, International Students Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, Ministry Coordinator, Recreation Coordinator, Signature Events Coordinator, and Special Events Coordinator
Peer leaders are student leaders that are valuable resources for incoming students during their transition to Belhaven. They specifically serve during Welcome Week, a time of orientation, guidance, and community building for all new freshmen and transfer students.
Resident Assistant (RA)
Each residence hall is staffed by a team of student leaders who serve as Resident Assistants (RAs). They are committed to helping residents adjust to life at Belhaven University and encouraging fellow students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially. If you are interested in learning more about being a RA, contact your current RA or RD and look for information regarding the application process at the beginning of the spring semester.
